Without any skills that increase the number of pets you can have, you can
have a single pet and a duplicated familiar.
Beast Mastery gives 3 total pets plus 1 default pet, maxing out at 4 pets
total.
Natures Friend gives 2 pets plus 1 default pet, maxing out at 3 pets total.
Tame gives 2 pets plus 1 default pet, maxing out at 3 pets total.
Undead Mastery gives 6 pets plus 1 default pet, maxing out at 7 total pets.
Finally, a Witch may cast duplicate familiar on one of your pets, giving you
another pet in addition to the above maxes.
Undead Mastery will not stack with Natures Friend, Beast Mastery, or Tame.
However, Natures Friend, Beast Mastery, and Tame stack together (7 pets
plus 1 default pet and 1 duplicate pet, totalling 9 pets).
